Age limit: Candidates age should be 30 years for post 1, 28 years for post 2 to 7 as on 31.08.2016. Age Relaxation in age will be given to SC/ST/OBC category candidates as per Govt. rules.

Educational Qualification:

For Medical Officer: Candidates should have completed MBBS from a University/Institute recognized by MCI with valid registration, with one year experience after registration.

For Operator-cum Technician (Trainee) : 3 years full time Diploma in Engg. from Govt. recognized Institute in the discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical**/ Civil/ Electronics & Instrumentation with minimum 50% aggregate marks [40% aggregate marks for SC / ST / PWD candidates].

For Mining Foreman: Matriculation & Diploma in Mining with valid Mines Foreman Certificate of Competency from DGMS under MMR (for metalliferous mines) with 1 year post qualification experience in the relevant field.

For Mining Mate : Matriculation with valid Mining Mate Certificate of Competency from DGMS under MMR (for metalliferous mines) with 1 year post qualification experience in the relevant field.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on performance in Written Test / Skill Test / Trade Test conducted by Steel Authority of India.

Test Centres : Rourkela, Bhubaneswar,. Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Kolkata.

Application fee :

  • For Medical Officer : Rs. 500/- for General / OBC Category.
  • For Trainee & Mining Foreman : Rs. 250/- for General / OBC Category.
  • For Mining Mate : Rs. 150/- for General / OBC Category.

Application fee pay through SBI Challan. SC / ST / PWD / ESM candidates are exempted from payment of Application/Processing fees.

Educational Qualification:

For Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) : Candidates should have completed Matriculation and 3 years full time Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Electrical/Instrumentation/Chemical disciplines from a Govt. recognized Institute with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/PWD candidates).

For Attendant-cumTechnician(Trainee)  : Matriculation and ITI (full time) in Fitter/ Electrician trades from Govt. Recognised Institute.

For Attendant-cum-Technician (Trainee)- Heavy Vehicle Operation: Matriculation with Heavy Duty Vehicle Driving Licence and having at least one year experience in operation of Dumpers& Dozers, etc.

For Specialists : MBBS with MD / MS or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline from a University/Institute recognized by the MCI and with atleast 3 years post qualification experience after MD/MS.

For Medical Officer : MBBS from a University/Institute recognized by MCI and with post qualification experience of at least 1 year in a Medical College/Hospital/Institution.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination/ Trade Test/Skill Test / personal interview conducted by Steel Authority of India.

Pay Scale: Rs.16800-3%-24110 for post 1, Rs.15830-3%-22150 for post 2,  Rs.32900-3%-58000 for post 3, Rs.20600-3%-46500 for post 4 to 7.
