Age Limit: Candidates age should be Maximum 55 years for post 1, 50 years for post 2, 40 years for post 3, 30 years for post 4, 28 years for post 5,6 & 8 to 10. 45 years for post 7 as on 01.09.2016. age relaxation will be provided as per the prevailing norms of govt of india.

Educational Qualification:

For Scientist-vi: Candidates should have completed 1st class degree in mining/civil engg. or m.sc (geophysics/engineering geology), ph.d in rock mechanics and 18 years of experience in research/teaching/industry with original work in rock mechanics supported by patents/publications.

For junior research fellow : 1st class m.sc/m.sc(tech) in geophysics/ b.tech/m.tech in electronics/instrumentation. experience /training in seismic data processing will be preferred.

For finance & accounts officer: Graduate with aca/icwa/sas qualification with 10 years experience out of which at least 2 years of work experience in accounting in a responsible position in govt. departments./ organizations. the applicant should have experience in computerized environment, be conversant in tally software, as well as be well versed in govt. rules & regulations. Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Interview conducted by National Institute of Rock Mechanics.

Pay Scale: Rs.37,400-67,000+ grade pay rs.10000 for post 1, Rs.37,400-67,000 + grade pay rs. 8900 for post 2, Rs.15,600-39,100 + grade pay rs.6600 for post 3, Rs.15,600-39,100+ grade pay rs.5400 for post 4, Rs.5,200-20,200)+grade pay rs.2400 for post 5.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs.200/- for the posts 1 to 4, 7 & 8 and rs.100/- for the post at sl.no. 5, 9 10. This fee in the form of dd should be darwn favouring “national institute of rock mechanics” payable on state bank of india (dooravaninagar branch) / state bank of mysore (kgf branch) / corporation bank (andersonpet branch) / canara bank/syndicate bank/ karur vysya bank, robertsonpet/kgf.
