About Eastern Railway : 

The Eastern Railway is one of the largest and High-Tech Zone in IR, it is among the 16 zones of the Indian Railways. Its headquarters is at Fairlie Place, Kolkata, and comprises four divisions: Howrah, Malda, Sealdah, and Asansol and Danapur Divisions and the entire Bengal Nagpur Railway. The Eastern Railway (ER) was established on 14 April, 1952.

Age limit:

Candidates age limit should be 20-40 years for Post 1, 20-35 years for Post 2, 18-33 years for post 3 as on. 01-01-2017. Relaxation of age will be applicable to 05 (Five) years age relation for SC & ST and o3 (three) years for OBC candidates.

Educational Qualification:

For Staff Nurse : Certificate as Registered Nurse & Midwife having passed 03 years course in General Nursing & Midwifery from school of Nursing or other lnstitution recognized by the lndian Nursing Council or B.Sc.(Nursing).

For Pharmacist : 10+2 Science or its equivalent with 02(two) years Diploma in Pharmacist & Registration with Pharmacy Council of lndia or Registration with State Pharmacy Council.

For Health & Malaria Inspector : B.Sc. having studied Chemistry as main/optional subject in any branch of Chemistry while undertaking the course: Plus (a) One year Diploma of Healthlsanitary lnspector: OR (b) One year NationalTrade Certificate (NTC) in Health Sanitary lnspector awarded by National Councilfor Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of lndia, New Delhi.

Selection Process of recruitment :
Selection will be made on the basis of Medical Examination, written examination.
