Name of the Post: 

  1. Postal Assistant: 16 posts
  2. Sorting Assistant : 07 posts
  3. Postman : 28 posts
  4. MTS : 15 posts

Age Limit:

Candidates age should be between 18 to 27 years as on 24.08.2016. Age  relaxation in upper age limit as per rules for SC/ST/ OBC.

Educational Qualification: 

For Postal / Sorting Assistant : Candidates should have completed Pass in 10+2 standard or 12th class pass from recognized University/ Board of School Education, Board of Secondary Education (excluding vocational/JOC streams). Candidates with higher education are also eligible but they have to fulfill the requirements mentioned in sub Para (a) above. There are no bonus marks for higher education. Candidates who have passed 12th standard/10+2 in vocational course or Job Oriented Course (JOC) are not eligible. Sports Qualification- as per Para 11 below

For Postman / MTS : Matriculation from a recognized Board or University. Candidates with higher education are also eligible but they have to fulfill the requirements mentioned in sub Para (a) above. There are no bonus marks for higher education. Sports Qualification- as per Para 11 below.

Sports Qualifications :

  • International Competition – Secretary of the National Federation of the Game concerned (1 awarded )
  • National Competition – Secretary of the National Federation or Secretary of the State Association of the Game concerned. (2 awarded )
  • Inter-University Tournaments – Dean of Sports or other Officer in overall charge of sports of the university concerned. (3 awarded )
  • National/sports/Games for Schools – Director or Additional/Joint or Deputy Director in overall charge of sports/games for schools in the Directorate of Public Instructions/Education of the State. (4 awarded )
  • Physical Efficiency Drive – Secretary or other Officer in overall charge of Physical Efficiency in the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare Government of India (5 awarded )

Discipline :

  • For Postal Assistant : Badminton (Men/Women), Cricket (Men) Chess (Men), TI (Men/Women) and Hockey (men).
  • Sorting Assistant  : Cricket (Men).
  • Postman : Weight lifting (Men-62Kg & 69Kg), Power Lilting (Men- 661(g), Best Physique (Men), Wrestling (Mcn- 57Kg, 65Kg, 74Kg, 86Kg & 97Kg), Football (Men), Kabaddi (Men), Hockey (Men).
  • MTS : Cricket (Men), Football (Men), Athletics (Men.), Kabaddi (Men), Hockey (Men).

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in interview & written test by Department of Posts, delhi.

Pay Scale : 

  • Rs.5200-20200+GP 2400 per month for post 1,2.
  • Rs.5200-20200+GP 2000 per month for post 3.
  • Rs.5200-20200+GP 1800 per month for post 4.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) in form of Indian Postal Order (IPO) only, in favour of “Chief Postmaster General, Delhi Circle” payable at the Post Office “New Delhi GPO, New Delhi-110001”.
