Name of the Post: 

  1. Senior research fellow : 06 posts
  2. Research Associate : 01 post

Age Limit:

Candidates age should be 40 years for men / 45 years for women as on the date of interview for Research Associate 2) 35 years for men / 40 years for women as on the date of interview for Senior Research Fellow (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules).

Educational Qualification:

For SRF : Candidates should have completed Master’s Degree in Agronomy/Plant Physiology/Genetics/Plant Breeding or relevant subject with 04 years/05 years of Bachelor degree Or ii) Master’s Degree in Botany/PlantPhysiology/Genetics/Plant Breeding or Life Science with NET qualification and having at least two years research experience.

For RA: Ph.D degree in Agircultural Chemistry & Soil Science/Microbiology/Agronomy or relevant subject or Master’s Degree in Agricultural chemistry & Soil Science/Agronomy or relevant subject with 04 years/05 years of Bachelor Degree having 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least two years research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship/Training /others engagements.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Interview conducted by Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres.

Pay Scale :

  • R.A. :-Rs.40,000/- (P.M.) with Doctoral Degree.
  • RA :- Rs.38,000/- (P.M.) with Master Degree.
  • Senior Research Fellow :- Rs.25,000/- (P.M.).
